Friends Forming Your Opinion of God, Really? 🤔 | 87

HEY Reader,

It's been wild trying to built all this on my own.

It's easy to feel discouraged or confused. Which I often do.

When I relaunched the podcast as "God, Really?" I truly felt like that would be the last rebrand.

But the confusion still sat there. I knew what I WANTED to do, but I was scared to try. Still am, if I'm being honest.

Thankfully, God has continued to remind me that I am capable (and qualified) to follow my heart. And my husband will just tell me I can do anything forever (green flag!)

So, here's the big scary leap into uncertainty while following obedience to God...

Over the next few weeks, you will start to see some changes rolling out. While I still have a few episodes scheduled, the brand and purpose are becoming more aligned to what I know is right. To what I am already doing in my home, and what I hope you may need as well (though, no hard feelings if not! I understand.)

I appreciate you for staying with me through all these changes and eager to show you what I have been working on.

Until then, continue to enjoy the last few "God, Really?" branded episodes and Bible studies!

NEW PODCAST EPISODE

Have you ever taken a vote among friends about what God is really like, instead of just asking Him yourself?
Do you find yourself piecing together your faith from other people's opinions, secretly wondering if any of them actually have it right?

In this episode, I get honest about a season when I was struggling with my faith and started polling people for their opinions on God, basically taking a consensus instead of going to the source.

BIBLE STUDY

Ask ten people who God is and you will get ten different answers, and some of them will be wrong.

This study is about learning to test what you hear against what Scripture actually says, so your picture of God comes from Him first, not from a group chat, a well meaning friend, or even a pastor you love.

Here is the latest Bible Study based on episode 87!

Now, go be mighty mom!

P.S. — If you haven't already, make sure to download the Grab-and-Go Scripture here for when you need something immediately.

PODCAST COMMUNITY LESSON PLANS HEY Reader, Packing for vacation tends to bring out the absolute worst in me. Add in the fact that I’m packing for a potty-training three-year-old… I am so worried about running out of clothes! And it’s not like we can just run to the store and buy more, because we’ll be on a cruise! Even though we cruise pretty frequently, I still get overwhelmed by everything I have to do. As I started packing for our seven-day cruise, I ran out of clean clothes for both boys...

PODCAST COMMUNITY LESSON PLANS Hey Reader, When it comes to caring for those around me, I like to think it’s one of my biggest strengths. But. When it comes to taking care of myself? That’s my biggest weakness. I was texting my sister recently and called us “back burner people.” Her response was, “We’ve allowed that.” If I’m being honest, I was really put off by her response. But then I thought about it and realized she was right. We could blame the people who shaped us over the years. But...

PODCAST COMMUNITY LESSON PLANS RESOURCES BLOG HEY Reader, We started potty training our three-year-old, Finnegan, this weekend… If you’ve been there, you already know. And when I say “we,” I (thankfully) mean my husband. My “job” was to take Maximus out of the house for at least four hours while Mike tackled potty training. As a SAHM, I do a lot with the boys, especially now that we’re homeschooling. I’m teaching and guiding them through so many things that Mike wanted to take something on...
