Is That Whisper👂🏼God, Really? | 88

HEY Reader,

My kids are in their blind box phase... I am sure you can relate.

And watching their little faces light up with excitement as they rip open the box to see what's hidden inside always makes me so happy.

And, let's be real... After a few plays with the toy, it falls to the bottom of the toy bin or behind a shelf and collects dust. Until we start to clean the house, and when our kids see it, they light up all over again, remembering the excitement that came with opening the box for the first time.

Many times we look at prayer like a blind box, excited that our prayers will be answered the way we hope... And if we don't get what we want, that might shake our faith or cause us to get angry with God. Or question Him. But when we get what we want, we are excited, praise God for a little while, and then we may forget. We might stop praising Him for the huge thing He did.

Much like the blind box toys our kids get, let's not let our answered prayers collect dust. If we hold on to the questioning when God doesn't answer our prayers the way we hope, we need to hold on to the praise for the prayers He has answered even more.

Here's your reminder to stop everything you are doing and thank God for that prayer He answered. Even if it was 10 years ago, God still deserves the praise.
